Stress?? Or memories?

Did you ever try to describe the word stress? If you read Becky's blog from yesterday and today, you will know what stress is from a busy mom's standpoint. From Grandma's standpoint things look a little different. Don't get me wrong, I can understand perfectly the stress of young moms, I was one of those a very long time ago.
Monday Becky came here to go to her doctors appointment; I was watching Adrianna and Eliza. We had a fun afternoon, watching a movie and Eliza sleeping for 2 hours. Mommy came back and we had a nice dinner... but I can't remember what we ate?!!?!?! oh yea, chicken soup in the crock pot. Eliza loved it and dug into it immediately, Adrianna said, "Grandma, this looks like oatmeal" to which her mommy said ' We dont' say that when grandma prepares a wonderful meal" ( I smiled.. to myself of course) After dinner mommy left with Eliza because at 9am they had a baby testing to do; so Adrianna spent the night. Now, if you know Adrianna's history with nightime, you will know how hard it is at times to get her to go to bed. We watched a movie; ate some popcorn; and then brushed teeth, got "2" books... when the second book was done... it was please grandma, just one more book.. I smiled ( to myself again) and got 2 more books. We rubbed backs, sang a song, and talked. Conversations like: I love my daddy, my mommy loves me; I miss my sister; I'm so excited to stay over at your house, grandma, can papa lay with us too? I smiled ( and called papa in the room). Papa did the finishing goodnights.. but alas, can i just have one more hug from grandma? (who was already seated in her spot for TV relaxing... ) Papa said NO.. then realized maybe that would start the crying so he said ok.... she ran out to me, hugged me and with one little tear said, I love you so much grandma.. I smiled...... and off to bed she went...
