Birthday Party Fun!

We had a great time with everyone yesterday for Eliza's Birthday! Becky and Shawn do such a good job, a great party team! We began the day apple picking. Scott, Sue, Alex and dad and mom came in for the annual event. What fun it is to spend time with them; the kids love them! Then we went out to dinner.. who has room to cook for 17 of us; and that was not even everyone! yikes! Someone please when buying your next house, get a big room! Then back over to Becky's for the party. Eliza was so cute opening the gifts, a memory I would not want to miss. She sat in the chair, opening each card wtih care, then saying more presents please. I've never seen a 2 year old enjoy each gift so much! The Abby Cadaby Cake was amazing and the decorated cookies were a hit!
I had to think about all the times we as kids went to family events. Lots of people, lots of food and fun and memories. My best part of the day was watching everyone... seeing them laugh and talk with each other will always be my favorite memories. And of course, I love it when family stays at my house, the morning coffee time is very special to me. And.. I can't forget the hugs from everyone!
My prayer is that the family will continue to enjoy each other in the years to come and learn what it is like to be part of a loving family. Sure, we might not all agree on things at times, but we'll always be there for each other. Think of what heaven is going to be like!
