And life goes on....

Just one week ago, we were anticipating a wedding. A wedding that took over a year to plan and seemed like was over in a few minutes. It was a beautiful day! A year filled with many plans and anticipation for those involved. I got thinking today how every event we plan or anticipate seems like it ends too quickly. Things like, savour the moment, stop and smell the roses, enjoy every minute, seem so true when the long awaited event is over. The excitement and anticipation of events is what makes life fun and
keeps us enjoying every minute! God wants us to live for Him, anticipating His coming and enjoying the life He has given us to live. How often we let the day go by without thanking Him for the events that took place. In the past 6 months, I have been praying that God would make me better, make me enjoy things like I use to, make my body more cooperative! But then in His still small voice He said to me... This is the life I gave you, this is the events I have blessed you with. I am making you different. Things will not be the same as they were, your body may not be pain free or even able to walk around the block, but I want you to enjoy this day, enjoy what I have given you now! Boy, I sure was blessed by that!
So, yes, the event is over, and life goes on.. but may we never forget that God is making each of us different, today and forever for His glory!
